It’s no secret that dog owners are nutty about their pets, and rightfully so. These beautiful creatures give us unconditional love and are always happy to see us. All it takes to please them is a plate of food, a long walk, a little cuddle now and then and a warm place to sleep at night. So doesn’t it seem fitting that we want to spoil them to bits and make them feel like one of the family?

Three hip designers from around the world, being dog owners themselves, have come up with some pretty creative ideas when it comes to dog houses. First up, is a designer called DenHaus that produces an attractive line of dog houses that double as side tables for the bedroom or living-room, or any room in the house. DenHaus say they want to:

“enrich the human-dog experience by honoring your dog as a unique member
of your family and celebrating your home as a beautiful shared space.”

This dog house is known as the BowHaus and is available in different sizes and colours. It would also make a good place for kitty to hang out. Choose from four different designs including the TownHaus, ZenHaus, BowHaus and RuffHaus.

The next designer to catch our eye is Seungji Mun from South Korea who goes one step further and melds Fido’s doggie den into the couch itself. With a clean, ecological design, this dog house allows you to enjoy your pet with a peek-a-boo view and enough room for petting.

If you’d rather keep a close eye on your dog, what about a transparent dog house by Italian designer Marco Morosini? Under the brand name, Dog is a God, Morosini’s eclectic mix of clever designs are both charming and whimsical.

While some of these dog houses might seem a bit extravagant, they do give you a lot of good ideas for your own DIY projects. I feel inspired!
