Dangerous Dog Toys

Dogs are more or less like kids, they need proper attention and guidance especially while they are playing. As playing with the toys is the necessity for every pet. Toys are helpful in training your dog to be active and also are a source of pleasure when you left them alone at home. They are dog’s companion during leisure time and stop them from creating bad habits. But one should be properly supervising his dog while playing because sometimes the toys become deadly for the dogs. Dogs are pretty much dumb in choosing the right toy unlike other pets those are somewhat tricky and choosy.
Dogs play with anything that comes to them regardless of its’ dangerous outcomes. So, be particular about the dog toys and try to pay them full attention while their playing time. Some key points to be considered for your dog safety are activity level of your dog, dog size as well as its’ preferences while selecting the toys. Most of the time the unnecessary small home things are center of attraction for most of the dogs that can be harmful for them include removing string, children's toys, pantyhose, ribbon, rubber bands and things that are easy to swallow. Avoid bringing things with tags, ribbons and a toy with inappropriate size in accordance with your dog as small balls and toys with pieces can harm your dogs’ throat.

Non- Recommended Toys:
While choosing a toy for your dog it is to make sure that avoid toys that contain a notch on one side. Most of the time food puzzles and toys that can be easily pull apart are not recommended because of the dogs aggressive nature and throw away the toy instantly when you see you dog doing such aggressive acts.
· Dog balls can be hazardously choking as it must be according to the size of dog. Smaller than the dogs’ size may stick in the dogs’ throat. Seek veterinary consultant under such cases.
· Dog bones which are made as puzzles for dogs are strictly not recommended as there is a risk of swallow. It is always best to buy natural bones which are safe and delicious as well.
· Stuffed dog toys that can be easily ripped or torn away are deadly for dogs as they can swallow suffocation causing stuff that eventually causes intestinal problems.
· Poor quality rawhide Chews can be easily break and if swallowed causes blockage in the intestine.
· Kong tug toy as termed as “The Beast toy" because the end hole in it is very problematic causing mouth and tongue injury. Need to overlook to prevent suction.
Recommend dog toys:
· Active toys that are very hard rubber toys are very safe to use chew and are available in varieties. Knotted bones from two ends are highly recommended.
· Distraction toys that are filled up with treats like peanuts or others are good for dogs but in case of small bits it can be harmful. Busy boxes are also filled up with treats and your dog enjoy playing with it.
· Comfort toys are usually soft toys that a smart and small enough to handle easily. As some dogs are aggressive and kill toys, for them use comfort toys to avoid accidental things.
