Go On a Movie Date With Your Pet!
Wait, what!? Yes, you read that title correctly: we at Petbook Today are suggesting that you go out to watch a movie with your fluffy pal (or not so fluffy pal). Oh, yes we’ve anticipated the obvious question:
How!? Where on earth can I go and watch a movie with my pet?
Well, Toronto is continuously becoming more and more pet friendly and Pawsway down at the harbor front is probably at the forefront of that friendliness. If you havn’t heard of Pawsway, you are indeed missing out!
The Purina Pawsway pet centre has the following mission:
“…to promote the well-being of pets and encourage responsible pet care. We offer a pet-friendly, entertaining, and engaging environment where pet guardians, those considering adding a cat or dog to their home, pet professionals, and anyone interested in pets can explore permanent exhibits, attend special events, participate in themed programming, and discover the world of dogs and cats.”
It’s even the official home of the Purina Animal Hall of Fame, and yes, it hosts movie nights for you, your family and furry friends too!
So, how exactly does this movie night with your canine or pooch work?
This is how:
Pawsway hosts a pet friendly movie night once a month from 3-5pm on Saturday, where family friendly films are played. While the event is free (woo hoo!) there are light refreshments available by donation and all proceeds go to the Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides.
So, the event itself is free, but for such a good cause, why not donate and enjoy some munchies while you’re hanging out with your family and furry friends!?
The next two playing dates are: September 19th and, October 17th
The doors open at 2pm so that you can come by early and get good seats or mingle with fellow puppy and kitty lovers. No registration is required, but you can hop on over to their facebook page to RSVP just to be on the safe side.
