Artificial intelligence or AI technology is at the forefront of this innovative health care app for pets. The first of its kind, this CES award winning AI from Korea is dazzling pet owners with its 90% accuracy rate.

The app is called TTcare and is designed for iOS and Android devices. It only costs $4.99 a month from the Apple App Store or Google Play (or $49.00 for an annual subscription). With this download, you get the first three scans and diagnostics analysis for free.

So how does it work?

All you have to do is take a photo of your pet’s eye, joints or skin and the pet health care app will analyze the pictures to detect any abnormalities, such as skin, eye or joint problems.

The development company behind TTCare is the Korean-based tech firm, AI FOR PET. They have been working on the algorithm for this pet health app since 2019. After reading a research paper out of the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital at Konkuk University (VMTHKU) in Korea, entitled "Convolutional Neural Network-Based Diagnosis Models For Canine Ulcerative Keratitis," they were spurred on to develop the first pet health app based on this technology.

Using a recently developed deep learning image recognition model, the VMTHKU study analyzed hundreds of diagnostic corneal photographs of the eyes of pets, based on CNN. The results pointed to an impressive 90% accuracy rate.

Building on the same technology, AI FOR PET used over a million photos of animals to develop the AI ability “to automatically capture and analyze the diagnostic zones” in pets. This includes all major body parts such as the eyes, ears, feet, etc. The algorithm is designed to automatically detect and optimize the areas to analyze. Each image is then cropped and further analyzed for the presence of disease.

The app will then send you veterinary advice on how to manage abnormal symptoms.

In addition to diagnosing potential health problems, the health care app also advises on weight management, behaviour analysis, as well as other features. Ultimately, the health care app gives pet owners peace of mind by staying on top of their pet’s health based on breed, age and medical history.
