Don't Miss Canadian Pet Expo 2019

Canadian Pet Expo 2019 is warming up to be another spectacular spring event this year, so hold the date. From April 19 to 21st, it’s going to be an extravaganza of all the pets we love under one roof: cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, exotic birds, reptiles and fish.

All pets are welcome, provided you complete the pet waiver before attending, which is downloadable on the Canadian Pet Expo website. 

With more than 290 vendors and over 20 different shows and events, you’ll want to spend the whole weekend down at the International Centre on Airport Road. Make sure you check the schedule before you go, so you don’t ‘miss anything on your wishlist. 

Here are just a few of the events you can expect to see this year: 

Cats

The International Cat Association Cat Show – will feature 17 rings of gorgeous felines, showing 13 allbreeds and 4 specialty breeds of all your favourite kitties. You can see these cats up close and ask their breeders questions before the competition in the TICA Parade.

Dogs

Dock Diving – sign up for your chance to show off your dog's agility and get involved in this team event of diving and fetching in water. 

Woof jock Canine All Stars – a high-speed performance of agility, obedience and “un-fur-gettable comedy” from a group of amazingly talented dogs and their handlers.

Ultimate Stunt Dog Show – these rescued dogs are now earning their keep entertaining people with their incredible stunts. Watch these mutts walk on a tightrope, ride a skateboard, and play the piano. Lots of fun!

Talent Hounds: Kids Pet Club – this is a chance for your kids to learn how to interact and take care of their pets. There’s even a chance to meet some fabulous pups and other furry creatures.

Lure Course – gives your dogs a chance to chase that dratted wabbit around an agility course, racing against other dogs. 

K9 Agility Park Zone – ever wondered whether your dog would enjoy agility training? Here’s your chance to try it out and test your pup’s K9 skills.

Lots to do and see at the Canadian Pet Expo. If you our feathered friends, fly on over to the Bird Zone and meet some beautiful exotic birds and their ethical owners. And don’t be surprised if you bump into the Easter Bunny hopping about somewhere near the Small Animal Village. For those lovers of furless pets, make sure you check out the Aquatic Zone and the Snakes and Reptile Display.
