Cats are very fond of music. They love and enjoy the music and even listen to music according to the mood swings just like their human companions. Cats specifically listen to the classical music which gives a calming effect to the cats’ mind. Some cats also know how to play a piano and some compositions are made especially for them. It was always remained a mystery that how cats know the sense of music and what made them so close to the aesthetic sensibilities.  

Music Appeal:

Sound sensibility is almost present in every creature on this earth and some even respond just like we human do, cat is among one of those creatures. Cats do wary, shows alert and frightened behavior when listen some noisy sounds around and feel calmness when light and classic music is played. Heartbeat rhythms, birds chirping and other nature belongs voices were the start of the musical life. So, one can say that music is actually related to the nature. Music composer sit in the natural beauty and the write their compositions. Eventually, we can say cats are nature as well as music lover.

Cats have hearing power that is quite high unlike other animals. Their range and sensitivity is very high. They can listen to voices from some distance too. Cats have the fine tuned receptors that make them “thin eared” which means they can listen to very light sounds. They can be in position of music lovers. They are even capable of sensing the slight vibrations or possibly amendments in the electromagnetic field.

Kittens loves to enjoy the melodies and also show a affiliation with that particular melody just like anyone of us who loves to listen to the song that was his favorite during his childhood. Melodies that are played in the first few weeks of the kittens’ life have a long lasting effect on its attitude and behaviors throughout their lives.

Cats are usually very fond of classical music. They think beauty lies in the classical songs giving a calming effect and sense of relaxation. The cats usually have their own top ten lists.

  Several animal musicologists & behaviorists claim that they've revealed a type of music which is loved by cats. Every now and then we see news of release of pet music. They are usually light and soft music.  Animal shelters are played with classical music to sooth the minds.

It is recommended to play music for cats so that they don’t go to depression state. The beauty of music will never let them go in anxious states. As they are very sensitive and feel very down even with a small change in the lifestyle. You should arrange special earphones for the cats to let them enjoy their rest time with the calming music. Some cats love to dance with the music too, such cats like the rock and pop music. You will see an appropriate performance with the song style.
