Coffee, Cats and Loving Furever Homes

Has the cat café craze hit your neighbourhood yet? After a search on Google, we were surprised to find just how popular these pet hangouts have become. With one in almost every city all across Canada, cat cafés are cropping up everywhere.

With the rise in popularity of these feline coffee shops in Japan, the rest of the world is getting on board and for very good reason – they support local animals shelters and help abandoned cats find a forever home. How cool is that!

Cat Cafés Support Local Rescue Shelters

These cat cafés can house around 6 to 15 feline residents at a time and provide a unique sort of foster home where they can hang out for a while. It’s a second chance at a new life and what’s more, the neighbours frequently drop by for a visit and a cuddle. Some of them even fall in love with the cats and end up adopting them. This makes room for a new rescued cat and the cycle continues. Also, a lot of the cat cafés sell merchandise and donate proceeds towards local shelters too. Pretty amazing, if you ask me!
